Limited diet and detox cleansing programs don’t work at all, do they? While the notion of rapid weight loss sounds tempting, there are no studies showing that people who participate in this limited diet experience long-term weight loss — most people simply gain weight back.
No magic pill, no shortcuts. Of course, long-term weight loss results from changes in lifestyle. Not only in the food and working environment (although all of that is important), but it also changes a person's mind.
The way you think and feel about your health is a very powerful tool to help you lose weight. Now what does that look like? That can be as simple as splitting your diet, making sure you add fruit or vegetables to every meal, or even a few swipe of these refined, white carbs with whole grains - like white pasta in wheat pasta. The easiest way to be realistic is to set small, achievable goals and improve.
Saying you want to lose 10 pounds may be the main goal, but why not set goals for yourself on the road to success? Instead, what if you set a goal of exercising 30 minutes daily for this week? Or the goal of something green to eat every dinner? Even research shows that focusing on small goals can help increase weight loss! 4 Focus on three magic tricks. Shutterstock "If you are not prepared to deal with the three things in life that contribute to abnormal weight gain - nutrition, movement, and stress management - you will never be able to lose weight, let alone maintain your whole life," said Dr. Shutterstock. However, as Dr. Lee points out, if you do not focus on these three magic tricks, weight loss will not happen. That’s why it’s important to focus on your “why” and be realistic as you make these changes in your life. Weight loss will be followed by fatigue and constant tiredness. And when you get back to your old ways, you'll end up with more." Now why bother? If dieting is taking you to the limit of insanity that you know will not work for long, what is the point?
